About
Artist Biography
Eileen Parent is an abstract printmaker living in Sonoma County, C.A. She was born in upstate New York and grew up surrounded by nature. Her artwork is influenced by her rural surroundings and her curiosity to explore the organic shapes and patterns she finds in nature.
She earned a Bachelor of Art in painting from UC Berkeley with high honors. After graduation she continued to paint and travel the United States and Europe extensively. While experimenting with different artistic mediums she was drawn to the process of printmaking. She fell in love with printmaking’s traditional techniques and historical background. She has exhibited her work in Sonoma County and the greater North Bay area. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Art in printmaking at Sonoma State University.
